Drummond Passes Concussion Protocol
Saturday, March 14
David Mayo of MLive.com reported that Drummond passed his concussion protocol and will play on Tuesday vs. Memphis.
On March 14, Vincent Frank of the Detroit Free Press reported that Drummond suffered a concussion in the second half.
Drummond is a budding star in the NBA, having spent three years in relative obscurity because the Pistons haven't been a contender. He's one of the league's few true centers, averaging 13.2 points, 13.4 rebounds and nearly two blocks per game.
There's not a lot be excited about watching the Pistons, as they had dropped nine of their last 10 games entering Saturday's tilt, but Drummond is certainly a foundational piece the franchise can build around. He did battle injuries as a rookie in 2012-13, specifically a back issue that caused him to miss 22 games, but he was fine last year with 81 games started.
